So, whilst I was making a delicious mexican meal, I decided to experiment with some whole wheat tortillas to see if I could manage to make some edible chips from them.
Turns out tortillas make a pretty satisfying chip! Heres how to do it:
Directions:
- Pre -heat oven to 425 degrees
- Slice tortilla (i used wheat but any kind would be fabulous!) into 8 triangles
- Spread out evenly on lined baking sheet
- Lightly brush each triangle with olive oil
- Sprinkle some chili powder, salt, and a squeeze of lime juice
- Bake for about 8 minutes - YOU MUST WATCH THESE CAREFULLY SO THEY DONT BURN!
- Let cool on paper towl
- ENJOY!
Store in air tight bag - last for a day or two.
