In light of the recent sunlight (pun intended) and the earth's attempt at summer in Seattle, I decided a trip to the Slip was in order. I am super picky with my burgers and this place is FAR from a McD's or Burger King; in a good way. Fresh beef grilled to order!
The Slip is quaint little Eastside secret located down in the Marina Park. Mostly high school kids work there, and they make mean burgers, including their signature peanut butter and bacon burger. I have yet to try this masterpiece, but will attempt it on my next visit. So far, the only one I have tried is the Moss Bay burger, which has wasabi mayo on it! It is TDF (To Die For). It's pretty simple: beef, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and wasabi mayo! Its light and very zesty. My eating partner had a bacon cheesburger (typical man burger). It looked and smalled AMAZING. I have also heard the mushroom burger is really yummy, so I might add that to my list.
Each burger comes with a side of home made tortilla chips, or you can get steak fries or a salad (they sprinkle tortilla strips on top). All are equally deelish, but I especially enojy their salads (with blue cheese dressing of course).
The Slip has a full bar including Seattle's favorite microbrews and cocktails that will leave you in a tailspin (that means they are SUPER strong).
Burgers range from about $7 - $12. A meal for two cost about $24.00 and well worth every penny :)
We brought a long Lily as well (my chocolate lab) to torture her while she staired down our beef, followed by a swim in Lake Washington as her reward. The Slip is dog friendly so bring your furry friends along.

Heres to a great start to Summer (lets hope)!
Rating: 4 stars and will make multiple visits this summer.
