I just returned from Disneyland in Southern California, and let's just say being five again was fabulous!
My dear friend Shelby has a unpresedented love for anything Disney, so of course her bachelorette party was going to be there! Her MOH's (that is Maids of Honor to a layman) planned an awesomely Disney weekend, including a full day at the park, an exclusive dinner CLUB 33, bridal bunch and Mexican bachelorette dinner. I also documented my favorite Disneyland treats (I didn't actually try them but desperately wanted to ;)).
I am not sure where my girlfriends' love for Churros comes from, and I certainly dont understand it. I am not a fan personally, but people must really love these things because there were stands ALL OVER the park! They are 1.5 feet long tubes of fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar and cost $3.00. Sounds good huh? Maybe I need to give them a second chance....
Deb... this is the sister-in-law to be and she is fabulous! She also LOVES Cotton Candy! She purchased this pillow of pink cotton (just looking at it makes my teeth hurt) and kindly shared some with the group. They come in pink and blue as if they were meant for a baby shower... they also cost about $3.00 per puff.

These are just samples of all the Mickey Mouse shaped food at Disneyland. We had lunch at Boudin's Bakery and they have a huge Mickey loaf on display! (P.S. Food in Disneyland is very reasonably priced aside from the $3.00 bottled water, but that is to be expected ;)).
There is actually ZERO ALCOHAL in Disneyland, so if you are looking for a frosty bronson after half a day of rides, stroller parking lots, lines and little munckins EVERYWHERE, head to California Adventure and immediately to the Karl Strauss stand. I had a Stargazer IPA and it was delicious! http://www.karlstrauss.com/

For out first dinner, we had a little connection that got us into the excluisve CLUB 33 venue tucked away near the Haunted Mansion. This venue was created by Walt Disney himself, for his 33 original park investors. It is the ONLY place where they secretly serve alcohal. Our bill came to over $2,000! High rollers we are not, like I said, we got a deal :) http://www.disneylandclub33.com/
For the bride that loves Disney, her bridal bruncheon was set non other than in the center of downtown disney at La Brea Bakery. We had our own little area roped off complete with mimosas(freshly squeezed OJ made them even better!). They have a wonderful menu that has a lot of variety. Great selections for breakfast lovers as well as those few who cant stomach eggs (you know who you are). They have pretty good sized portions as well. Most of the breakfasts come with hash browns prepared more like gourmet potato peices. I had the open faced scrambled egg sandwich on freshly baked souerdough bread with spinach and crumbled feta. I ordered a side of bacon for some protein and it was awesome :)
Our bride also LOVES Meixcan cousine, so we headed straight for Tortilla Joe's Saturday night for a late dinner. It is also located in Downtown Disney. We started off with 3 pitchers of Margaritas (followed later by 2 more) accompanied by the traditional tortillas and salsa. The tortillas are home made and really crunchy and good. Their salsa is super spicey and yummy but a little too sweet for my taste. I opted for the fresh guacamole. For dinner I had the shrimp and avocado enchiladas with salsa verde, black been salsa and topped it off (mistakenly I might add) with habanero sauce. My mouth was literally on fire. I also had a taste of my friend's side order of gilled plantains. They were nothing shy of amazing! They were seasoned with cinnamon and some sort of smokey spice topped with a creme fresh type sauce. YUM!
Lastly, I just loved these glasses at the gift shop and wanted to share them!
Overall an excellent eating experience at Disneyland. I look forward to going back some day to try some of the other great food they have to offer!
